I got so many questions in my head right now: If you check the picture you'll see that there is enough ink left that makes you believe the seller didn't attempt to remove it in the first place. Both products were brand new first-hand, and the shops are legit European traders for camera gear. I discovered a similar issue on my lens which I bought from a different shop. And searching the web I am also left with the feeling I seem to be the only idiot with this problem. I'm super worried and I can't wrap my head around the fact that everyhing else on the label is in perfect condition but the one and only crucial information wears off so easily. So even if I retrieve the serial number from the original box or EXIF data: Will fuji even accept the camera for warranty repair with the label in such condition?

I have no idea how this could have happened maybe sweaty hands, moskito repellent or sunscreen I have been using on my journeys are to blame, but the fact I am being left with is: The serial number is absolutely unreadable on the camera label.

Looking for my serial number to claim the warranty (I still got it for 1.5 months!) I discovered this: The serial number has almost completely rubbed off after 22 months of usage! Now the camera shows a serious malfunction and won't shoot anymore, so it needs to be sent in (Fuji support says. TLDR is: Even if I retrieve the serial number from the box or EXIF data, will Fujifilm accept the camera for warranty repair despite the condition of the serial number on the label? (as they might have other ways to read out the number from the camera, I hope?)Īlmost two years ago I bought my beloved Fuji xt20 and have happily used it since.

Hi, Thanks for your reply! For some reason my hole desciption text hasn't been posted with the picture, so here comes my hole problem.
