Not sure this helps, but I would recommend 'ditching the TT router'. The TT rep agreed that I had done the right thing.īTW, I am not pushing the Apple router just that I replaced the TT router with a more robust product. Needless to say I feel vindicated in replacing the Huawei router. Now heres the rub, when we checked the wireless connections the Apple was 35Mbps download, but the Huawei was only 24 Mbps. After the firmware upload the download was comparable to the Apple for download but about half that of the Apple for upload.
When we put the Huawei in I was getting about 35mbps and an upload of about 4Mbps. With my Apple router I am getting over 54mbps, download and 14Mbps Upload.
We decided to plug the Huawei in (well thats want geeks do!). After explaining that I replaced the box for the Apple router. Yesterday, I had a TalkTalk technician out to "upgrade the firmware of my Huawei and tweek the configs to increase my Fibre throughput. The point it the Huawei was causing me a lot of data throughput problems. Hi Technogran, I replaced my Huawei about a year ago with an Apple Extreme (only because I had a lot of Apple kit).
